Dhanush is working on Bharat Bala's "Mariyaan", which is a story based on the life of a coastal fisherman. Needless to say, Dhanush plays a fisherman in the film. The shoot is mostly taking place in Kanyakumari and a rumour started spreading like wildfire lately.

It said that while shooting for "Mariyaan", Dhanush and his co actor Appukutty had to go into the sea on a tiny boat for a scene. And during this shot, a strong wind capsized the boat and pushed them both into the water and had to be saved by the crew. Dhanush came outright and denied such a mishap ever happening. He said that the shoot progressed smoothly and he had no idea how such a rumour came to be.
