Music director and composer Tanjnoor was introduced to the film industry through the movie 'Vamsam', which was directed by 'Pasanga' Pandiyaraj. Tajnoor was an associate of Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman; he is currently doing about half a dozen projects - 'Mallukattu', 'Kaliyugam', 'Swasame', 'Adithalam', 'Nyanakirukkan' and 'Adhu Vera Idhu Vera'. Apart from this busy schedule, he is in the process of cutting an album in praise of Tamil, titled 'Thaipaal'. In this project, he is working in association with Arivumathi for lyrics and a number of leading Tamil heroes for voices.
"Music is like an ocean; no matter how many new composers enter the field with their ideas, there still remains a lot more to explore" says the successful composer. When quizzed about the presence of at least one 'gaana' song in all of his albums, he says "It is not mandatory that an album is incomplete without a 'gaana' song. But most often, I have to match up to the expectations of the director, which you ultimately see in the final outcome'.
