The young and talented Ranveer Singh is learning the ropes of his trade pretty fast... While he proved his acting skills with his debut movie (Band Baaja Baraat) itself, with each new project he goes on to improve for the best as well as impress his directors.

Currently shooting alongside Deepika Padukone for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Ram Leela', Ranveer said to have won the heart of the filmmaker who is known as a strict taskmaster. Not only for his hard work and good performance, Ranveer earned high praise from Bhansali for his complete dedication towards his profession.

According to sources, for one particular scene the actor actually got drunk to get into the skin of the character perfectly. Ranveer felt that to get a genuine facial expression he needs to get into the inebriated mode in real.

And true to his idea, Ranveer simply gave out a fabulous performance in just one take. Sources added that Ranveer did such an emotional act that it moved Bhansali to tears, and gave the actor a standing ovation along with the entire unit.

For this movie, Ranveer has great efforts to get a perfect, chiseled physique and also specially grown his hair and beard.

Besides 'Ram Leela', Ranveer has other big bannered projects namely 'Gunday' and 'Lootera'.
