Veteran actress Ambika has an enviable career of more than 175 films to her credit, across the four South Indian languages. Now, she has donned the director's hat, along with Suresh, for the upcoming Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, first of its kind, POV film. The film is titled 'Nizhal' in Tamil and 'Anabella' in Malayalam. POV stands for Point of View; this means that there will be no camera-person involved. Surprised? Well, the actors themselves hold the camera to give their personal perspective. In most other movies, the viewers are audience to the story line, but in a POV film, the audience themselves become an integral part of the plot.
Suresh is a Malayalam actor, who has also acted in one film each in Tamil and Telugu. He is a film grad from Hollywood, and also the proprietor of Prime Lens Media, an organisation that handles line production. He is a cricketer as well, who earned fame for Kerala Strikers in the CCL held recently. Ambika and her sister, actress Radha, have jointly directed an emotional scene in this film produced by Mallikarjunan of Rio International.
The lead role in this film is performed by Major Kishore, who is an Army Major; his screen name will be Aditya A.K.A Adi. Miss Kerala 2010, Indu Thampi, will be the lead lady, and she will be Jenniffer A.K.A. Jenny on screen. Other faces in the film include Prasoon Krishna, Joe, Suresh Venkat, Pradeep Chandran, Ajith Kumar, Sajayan and Iniya's sister Shruthi. The story is said to be portraying a common man's life, and hence, so many new faces. The film will be a mix of love, comedy, suspense and thrill in its length of an hour and 40 minutes. With regard to shooting time, a 40-day camera training by stalwarts including Santhosh Thundial has brought down the total making time by nearly 50%.
