The man who held everyone in awe by his arresting voice, met his sad demise yesterday, owing to a sudden heart attack. The 82 year old legendary singer, PB Sreenivas was born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, and has sung in 15 Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, in his breathtaking career of more than sixty years. The veteran lived with his family in CIT Colony.
PBS debuted in Gemini Ganesan's Bollywood flick 'Mr Sampat', and shot to fame through his peerless rendition, mostly for Gemini Ganesan. He was famous for his romantic evergreen songs between 1950s and 1970s. Of all his songs, 'Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham' for Gemini's 'Pava Manippu', penned down by Kannadasan and composed by MS Viswanthan-TK Ramamoorthy duo, is considered one of the best tracks, till date.
