In the era of film corporatisation, director Susi Ganesh has taken a bold and confident step to release his Bollywood flick 'Shortcut Romeo' as an independent entity. Opening up on the movie, Susi Ganesh says "Short term gains are long term pains. This is what forms the basis for my story.
I drew inspiration from a story I observed from close quarters. A governmental official who appears clean on the facade, actually collects bribe, delivered to him by his son, in the form of the mysterious package that the kid collects. Out of curiosity, the boy once opened one of the packages to find money, and flicked some for his use. This led to his future derailing into wrong deeds, and ultimately a fateful end." The director, who has his fingers crossed on 'Shortcut Romeo' releasing today also reveals "I faced a lot of hurdles in releasing the movie all by myself. I am nervously awaiting the audience's response on the movie." 'Shortcut Romeo' stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Amesha Patel and Puja Gupta in the lead, and owes its musical credits to Himesh Reshammiya.
