If you wondered why the audio of 'Singam 2' failed to impress as much as the album of 'Singam', then director Hari has the ready answer. "We concentrated on the story more than the album. Music is predominantly contextual in the film, and supportive to the flow of story. So you will automatically fall in love with the music once you watch the movie." Another important feature, of not just the movie, but the director himself, is his rapport with the cinematographer Priyan.
The two have remained part of the same team in almost all of Hari's movies. Opening up on the relationship they share, cinematographer Priyan said "Hari is more like family, than friend. After years of experience together, now when he narrates a story, I can instantly visualize what exactly he wants. In 'Singam 2', we have used wise cam and flight cam for a couple of chase sequences. The action packed screenplay will also have choppers in a few scenes, and speciality of wise cam is that it can capture a thousand frames in a second. This has helped us a great deal in enhancing the nuances." He also added "Since a part of the movie is shot in Africa, I have used a different colour grade for scenes in Africa, from that in India. Close to 40% of the movie was shot in digital."
