After 'Avan Ivan', Janani Iyer was not seen in the Tamil picture for sometime, while she was busy with her Malayalam film. Now she has come back to Tamil for a movie titled 'Thegidi'. The film is produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment, which is the same banner that rolled out 'Pizza' and 'Soodhu Kavvum', and is directed by debutante director Ramesh.
The script is a thriller and will be shot predominantly in the city. In this film, Ashok Selvan is playing the lead role. Speaking on her experience with Kollywood and Mollywood, Janani says "The Malayalam film industry works very differently in comparison to the Tamil industry. They know what exactly they want and do not agree to any sort of compromise. Malayalam movies shoot for a very short duration and this has taught me the nuances of professionalism. Going forth, I plan to shunt between Tamil and Malayalam movies. However, I will concentrate more only on the Kollywood industry."
