It is not a mean task to rise up to a great height and remain there with pride and composure. But Ilayathalapathy has been adhering to principles and maintaining his stance for years now, without a hint of haughtiness creeping in. Every time Vijay chooses a project, it takes a very long time, which he uses to analyze every nook of the story. But once satisfied, he does not cross the line drawn down by the director and gives into any shot, no matter how risky. He limits his suggestions only to the choreographers, to include or modify certain dance steps to mark his brand. Of all, the actor's foremost concern is that the producer shall not be disturbed for what lies in his responsibility. All this sums up that Vijay is a dedicated actor; we got proof of this recently.
The 'Jilla' team set out to shoot in Japan, and mother nature thought otherwise, throwing up the earth into a deadly earthquake. Panicked producer RB Choudhry rang up Vijay and requested him to right away. But Vijay calmly refused, as that particular weather and picturesque scenery visits Japan's atmosphere only once in a year, and that is precisely the mood the song calls for. So Vijay stayed over for the shoot, establishing his sheer dedication once again.
