'Santosh Subramaniam' Press Meet

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

"It is a difficult task to recreate the magic of the original in the remake version", says director Raja.

Addressing media persons in Chennai after the muhurrat of Santosh Subramaniam, which is a remake of a Telugu blockbuster Bommarillu, Raja said, “It is no easy job to do remakes. We have to create the same magic. People will not take them lightly”.

On Santosh Subramaniam, he said, “It is a tale of emotional saga between a father and son. We will create a magic on the screen. Ravi plays the son while Prakash Raj plays his caring father”.

Genelia, who plays the heroine, said, “It is a big honor to be part of the project. Though I was appreciated for my performance in Bommarillu, I want to outdo it in Santosh Subramaniam”.

On his part, Ravi said, “My family (father editor Mohan and brother director Raja) have been my guiding spirits. To work with my brother again is a confidence booster”.

Produced by Kalpaithi S Agoram, the movie would have musical score by Devi Sri Prasad and would be released for Pongal.
