Ace director Mani Ratnam was recently honored with Jaeger-Lecoultre Glory To The Filmmaker Award at the 67th Venice Film Festival last Monday September 6. Later on Friday Mani Ratnam’s colleagues and contemporaries including Balu Mahendra, K Bhagyaraj, Vasanth, R K Selvamani, Ezhil, Balaji Sakthivel, Santhanabarathy, Lingusamy, SP Jananathan and Vikraman met Mani at his office and presented him with bouquets for making Tamil cinema proud. With Glory Award Mani Ratham joins Sylvester Stallone, Agnes Varda, Abbas Kiarostami, and Takeshi Kitano who have "left a mark" on contemporary cinema. | ||||||||||||||||||
