'Emttan Mahan' Press Meet

'Emttan Mahan' is my debut directorial venture and is about the emotional happenings that occur between a strict father and a callous son, says Metti Oli fame Thirumurugan.

'Emttan Mahan' is the 25th production venture from the famed Sathyajothy Production house in their silver jubilee year. R Veerappan's Sathya Movies is co-producing the movie.

Speaking at a function held to introduce the cast and the crew of the movie, Thirumurugan said, 'There would be nothing cinematic in the narration. It is the story that occurs in every household. A family entertainer indeed'.

Nasser, who plays the stentorian father Emttan, says, 'When Thirumurugan narrated the story, I got involved very much with the script. It has got emotions all through. It is a story seemingly inspired by incidents in our daily life'.

Producer Sathyajothy Thyagarajan, speaking on the occasion, said, 'Thirumurugan's work in Metti Oli impressed me very much and I wanted his first movie to be produced by Sathyajothy. When he narrated the script for Emttan, I was really moved and decided to go ahead with the movie'.

Bharath, Gopika, Nasser, Saranya and Vadivelu play prominent roles in the movie.
