It was a gathering of Kollywood stars at the muhurat of Kadhalil Vizhunthen held in Chennai on Sunday.

Vijay, Jayam Ravi, directors K Bhagyaraj, Balu Mahendra, Seeman, Lingusamy,  Vishnuvardhan and Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan among others took part.

However all eyes were on State Minister and a close-aide of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Arcot Veerasamy, taking part in the movie's launch.

The debutant director P V Prasad happens to be a close relative of the State Minister and upon his invitation, the Minister took part in the muhurat.

Kadhalil Vizhunthen features Nakul, one of the boys in director Shankar's Boys playing the lead role. Brother of actress Devayani, Nakul took his time out after Boys. He also made a foray as a singer (especially in Anniyan). A newcomer Sunaina acts opposite him.

Speaking on the occasion, Nakul, said, 'My long wait has yielded right results. I happened to come across a good story from Prasad and immediately decided to be part of his team'.

So engrossed with the script, I reduced over 35 kilograms in less than eight months to suit the role, he adds.

The movie has musical score by Vijay Anthony, cinematography by S D Vijay Milton and editing by V T Vijayan. The movie is produced by Umapathy for Atlantic Cinemas.
