The much-awaited audio of director Shankar’s home production Veyyil was launched in Chennai on Wednesday with who’s who of the film industry including Vikram, Madhavan, AVM Saravanan and Lingusamy taking part.
The first copy of the music album, set to tunes by G V Prakash (A R Rehman’s nephew), was released by Vikram and was received by Madhavan.
A couple of songs were screened on the occasion, which received instant applause from the huge gathering.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram heaped laurels on the young music-composer and director Vasantha Balan at the way the songs have been canned.
On his part, Madhavan expressed confidence that Veyyil from S Films too would set a new trend in the industry.
Other dignitaries including director Lingusamy, producer AVM Saravanan, actors Bharath, Pasupathy and Shreya Reddy appreciated Shankar and Vasantha Balan.
Thanking the guests, Shankar said the young music composer has come up with trend-setting music and would emulate the likes of Rehman, Ilayaraja and Harris Jeyaraj. He also expressed confidence that Vasantha Balan would scale great heights after Veyyil, which is a realistic film. |
