The stalwarts of Tamil cinema gathered for the launch of the audio of Cheran's Mayakannadi at Albert Theatres in Chennai.
Veteran directors K Balachander, Bharathiraja, KS Ravikumar, actors Parthiban, Nasser, Prakash Raj, Radharavi and Vijayakumar, among others, gathered for the function.
The highlight of the evening was the presence of Ilayaraja, who completed his 31st year in filmdom this year.
Speaking on the occasion, Balachander heaped laurels on Cheran and said that his movies have a strong message and is a lesson for others to emulate.
Bharathiraja, on his part, said that Cheran is good at handling his themes in a realistic way.
The audio was released by Bharathiraja and Balachander and was received by Sarath Kumar and KS Ravikumar.
The movie features Cheran and Navya Nair in the lead roles and has music by Ilayaraja. It is produced by Subbu, son of Panchu Arunachalam. |
