The audio of Urchagam was launched in Chennai on Tamil New Year's day by noted music composer Harris Jayaraj and the first copy was received by Silambarasan.

The movie produced by GV Films is directed by Ravichandran and features Nanda and Sherin in the lead roles.

Ranjit Barot has scored the music for the movie.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjit Barot said, “After VIP, I wanted to do more Tamil films. Unfortunately I had no big offers coming my way. After Urchagam, I hope to work in more films”.

Also present on the occasion included director Ameer, Perarasu, Samuthirakani, Sakthi Chidambaram, actors Arun Kumar, Sibiraj, Vijayakumar among others.
