“I want to do movies that will take me closer to the masses,” actor Jeevan says.

Talking to media men in Chennai Tuesday, Jeevan, says, ' Naan Avanillai is a movie to cherish in my career. After Thiruttu Payalae, I was approached by over a dozen production houses to act in their films. Though the stories were good, I felt I would not suit them. I waited for the right opportunity and it ended with Naan Avanillai.'

“It is a remake of yesteryear blockbuster titled the same released in 1976. I enacted the role played by Gemini Ganesan,” Jeevan says and adds, “I come in different makeup for the movie”.

Jeevan is shooting for his next Machakaran. The movie features Kamna Jethmalani opposite him and is directed by Tamilvannan. Also his long-pending Thotta is nearing completion.

On playing the lead role with negative shades, Jeevan, says, “People like to see me in such roles. Interestingly I have won enough women fans essaying such roles. I am surprised”.

Jeevan also thanks director Selvah and his co-stars Sneha, Malavika, Namitha, Jyothirmayi and Keerthi Chawla for their encouragement and co-operation in completing Naan Avanillai successfully.
