Director Vasanthabalan has returned happily from the Cannes Film Festival. His Veyyil was screened at the coveted film festival and he has carried back to Chennai fresh memories from Cannes.

Vasanthabalan brushed shoulders with who’s who of the world cinema and he has a lot to narrate.

Veyyil, his second venture, produced by Shankar was all about a man who met failure in his life. The movie screened at the fest was critically acclaimed and Vasanthabalan was critically acclaimed. 

Buzz is that Vasanthabalan is planning his next film much bigger in terms of content. He wants to outdo Veyyil.

Sources say,”Vasanthabalan has tentatively titled his next Puzhuthi. Director Shankar would produce the film too. The latter is also producing Balaji Sakthivel’s Kallori and Simbhu Devan’s Arai En 305il Kadavul”.
