“Machakaran is a racy entertainer laced with a message”, says director Tamilvannan.

The movie stars Jeevan and Kamna Jethmalani in the lead roles and is produced by Madras Entertainment Limited. The movie has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography by Venkatesh.

Talking to media men in Chennai on Tuesday, Tamilvannan said, "Machakaran will be different from my maiden venture Kalvananin Kadhali. Jeevan plays the hero who has both positive and negative shades in him. Giving him company is Kamna Jethmalani".

“When I penned the story, I thought Jeevan would be appropriate for it. I approached him and he agreed without hesitation to be part of the film”.

A prominent yesteryear heroine will appear for a song in the movie. It would be feature Kamna Jethmalani and the yesteryear heroine together.

Thrilled at being part of Machakaran, Jeevan says, “I signed the movie much before Naan Avan Illai. The latter's success has made me more cautious and I have given my best in the movie”.

A major portion of the movie has been completed and plans are on to release the film by the first-week of August.
