Director Vasanthabalan is happy and jumping with joy. He had just returned from Cannes Film Festival after brushing shoulders with who's who on world cinema.

His Veyyil, produced by director Shankar's S Pictures was screened at the international film festival at Cannes recently. He along with Shankar attended the screening.

A wide spectrum of international audience who watched the movie appreciated Vasanthabalan and applauded the film.
