Director Perarasu's Pazhani kicked off at AVM Studios in Chennai on Sunday. Bharath plays the lead role and Kajal Agarwal, the heroine of Bommalatam is acting opposite Bharath. Kushboo plays Bharath's sister. Director Shakti Chidambaram's Cinema Paradise produces the film.

Noted producer R B Choudhary, actor- director K Bhagyaraj, Sakthi Chidambaram, Perarasu, Bharath and a host of film personalities graced the muhurrat.

It may be recalled that Sakthi Chidambaram gave a small tin of Panjamirtham, Vibhuthi (sacred ash) and a photo of Lord Muruga along with the invitation for the muhurrat.

When one hears the name Pazhani, the two things that comes in their mind is Lord Muruga and 'Pazhani' Panjamirtham. The producer gave these holy things symbolically along with the invitations. Srikanth Deva scores music for the movie.
