Sakthi is the latest addition to the long list of film personalities' siblings trying their luck in Kollywood.

Son of veteran director P Vasu, Sakthi makes his debut as hero in Thottal Poo Malarum. The shooting for the movie is almost complete. Directed by his father, the movie features Mumbai Gauri Munjal as heroine. Yuvanshankar Raja scores the music.

Addressing press persons in Chennai, Sakthi says, “My father is a perfectionist. He has worked with all top artistes including Rajnikanth. When I was shooting for the movie, I understood how dedicated he was on the sets. He managed to get the best of me”.

“I grew up watching him at close quarters and I could understand what he expects from me. The product has come good”, he added.

On his part, Vasu said, “My Panner Pushpangal in the late 1980s set a new trend in the industry. Thottal Poo Malarum will be another Paneer Pushpangal in contemporary Tamil filmdom. All the artistes have contributed their best”.

On her part, Gauri Munjal said, “Initially I was afraid to act in Vasu sir's film. He was such a senior man in the industry and to work in his film made me go tense. I marveled at his Chandramukhi. However I was impressed with his working skills. He brought the best out of me”.
