Union Minister G K Vasan released the audio cassette of Sivi at a grand function held in Chennai on Sunday.

The who's who of Tamil film industry including directors Ameer, Subramaniam Siva, Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan among others took part in the gala function.

The film features newcomers Yogi and Jayashree Rao in the lead roles and is directed by Senthilnathan. Produced by K Sundar, Sivi is a romantic entertainer with family sentiments.

According to the director, ‘Though the hero and the heroine are newcomers, they have given a good performance. Sivi would certainly go on to become a hit among the youngsters. Music is by young and talented music composer Dharan'.

Senthilnathan says, “Dharan has got immense talent and his music is sure to rock youngsters".

Speaking on the occasion, Vasan urged film-makers to churn out movies keeping in mind the values and traditions. Noted industrialist V G Santhosam was also present on the occasion.

Rama Narayanan expressed his desire that Sivi would go on to make it big at the box office.
