The film’s cast, producer S P B Charan and director Venkat Prabhu were all at hand to be part of the memorable and momentous occasion. Chennai Mayor and other politicos also added weightage to the occasion.

Chennai-28, a fun-filled offbeat entertainer, is something of cult classic (in pop culture terms).

And it is indeed nice that its success is marked by cricket, which formed an attractive backdrop to the film.
