After back-to-back hits in Thiruttu Payalae and Naan Avanillai, Jeevan is getting ready for Machaakkaran. Thamizh Vaanan wields the megaphone for this film after Kalvanin Kadhali.

Talking about the Machaakkaran, Thamizh Vaanan says, "When I penned the story, I thought Jeevan would be appropriate for it. I approached him and he agreed without hesitation to be part of the film".

"Machaakkaran is a racy entertainer laced with a message," he adds.

It stars Jeevan and Kamna Jethmalani in the lead roles and is produced by Madras Entertainment Limited. The movie has musical score by Yuvanshankar Raja and cinematography by Venkatesh.
