The premiere of Kattradhu Thamizh, took place on 4th October 2007 in INOX Chennai which played the host .The event was a grand success as a host of celebrities and other special invitees graced the event. The film written and directed by Ram stars Jeeva and debutant Anjali in lead roles is musically directed by Yuvan.

Director Ram, Jeeva, Yuvan Shankar Raja along with his mother, sister Bhavdharaini and his brother Karthik Raja were present at show. The others were Parthiban, directors Simbudevan, Priya V. and Gautham Menon, Simbu, Dhanush and wife Aiswarya, Jithan Ramesh, Nandha, Sandya, Uma Padmanabhan, Harish Raghvendra, SPB Charan, Venkat Prabhu, Premji, Prasanna, and lyricist Na Muthukumar.
