‘Evano Oruvan’ is a remake of a Marathi film ‘Dombeville Fast’. It was a super hit in Marathi and has won around 27 international awards. Nishikanth Kamath, the director of the original, directs Tamil version too, while Madhavan writes the dialogues.

The film has Sangeetha in female lead role and director Seeman in a supporting role. Baby Sruthi is acting in an important role. Young music director G.V. Prakash has done music while Na. Muthukumar writes the lyrics.                                                                                                                                                                                   

The premier show of the film was held in Sathyam Cinemas and was hosted by Madhavan and his wife. The show was also graced by the famous Kollywood pair Ajith and Shalini.
