Bharathirajaa's camera zooms into small screen! This creative director of Tamil cinema met with the press this morning at his office. There was a special reason behind this director meeting the press. It was to throw light into the serial that he is directing for Kalaignar TV.

The title of the serial is 'Therkathi Ponnu', and it will feature Napolean and Ranjitha in the lead roles. Bharathirajaa who created a landmark in Tamil cinema with his films showcasing village themes seems to repeat history, but this time around in the small screen.

With the mega serials these days owing to women-centered characters and a boring plot we hope 'Therkathi Ponnu' brings us a whiff of the village freshness and a good plot. So folks be there in your drawing rooms at 8.30 pm this April 14th, because that is when 'Therkathi Ponnu' will be coming to your homes to entertain you!
