The who's who of Kollywood came together to celebrate the success of ‘Malaikottai’ at a grand function held in Chennai on Thursday.

South India Film Chamber president KRG, producers A V M Saravanan, R B Choudhary, Anandha Suresh, Editor Mohan, Tamil Film Producer Council president Rama Narayanan, directors Bhagyaraj, Parthiban and actor Jayam Ravi  were among those present on the occasion.

Rich encomiums were poured on actor Vishal, actress Priyamani on the occasion.

Jayam Ravi on his part, said, “Becoming a hero is no easy task in Kollywood. In short span of time, Vishal has risen to become an action hero.”

Vishal looks a typical cop and his dedication to excel in his roles has impressed everyone, Bhagyaraj said and added that he would rise to win more laurels in Tamil cinema.

On the occasion, Vishal said that he was happy to be part of successful team. He also denied media reports that he is in love with actresses Priyamani and Nayantara'.

Trophies and shields were given away to the cast and crew of the movie on the occasion.
