The who's who of Tamil film industry came together for the audio launch of ‘Subramaniapuram’ in Chennai Friday.

Directors Ameer, Karu Palaniappan, Simbhu Devan, Vettri Maran and the film's director Sasi Kumar shared the dais.

Speaking on the occasion, Ameer said, “I am happy that my former assistant Sasi is doing this film. I was literally stunned to hear the script. In fact, I planned to produce ‘Subramaniapuram’ first. However, I was unable to do so due to some unavoidable circumstances.”

He also said that Sasi Kumar had at first approached an up and coming hero to do the lead role. “However, he wanted Sasi to make some changes in the script. So he opted ‘Chennai-28’ fame Jai as the hero of the film”.

The movie has music by James Vasanthan. A couple of songs were screened on the occasion.
