The place was the Taj Krishna in Hyderabad and members of the press had gathered in large numbers.

Kamal Haasan and the director of the film Dasavatharam, K. S. Ravikumar were present to talk about the spectacular opening of the film. Kamal Haasan with his overgrown beard and success-of-Dasavatharam written on his face was quite comfortable speaking in Telugu. Volleys of questions were directed at both the filmmakers. The visibly happy versatile actor thanked the people of Andhra Pradesh for the resounding success. Most reporters started out congratulating the duo and some interesting questions were asked.

A reporter asked Kamal as to what he would have altered if he had to do the movie all over again and the actor quickly retorted by saying, ‘I really would not want to go to the beginning of the film. The whole process has been so strenuous and if I had the facility of a time machine, I’d quickly travel back to the present’.

Another reporter asked him if it was alright with him if people found flaws in the film. With an interested smile Kamal said, ‘Everybody has the right to find fault or appreciate. I am a kind of person who finds faults with legendary movies like even Benhur’.

Director K. S. Ravikumar managing with the little Telugu he knows mixed with English lauded Kamal on the kind of effort he has put in. ‘Loads of homework and a dedication like no other has brought Kamal to the place he is in now’. He also added that all the ten characters were the result of careful planning and precise execution.

Kamal Haasan is currently working on his next project Marmayogi after which he plans to bring to life his dream project Maruthanayagam. Maruthunayagam involves loads of technical brilliance and investment of money like no Indian film can imagine. Let’s hope Kamal Haasan the master that he is, excels in what he is good at….FILMMAKING.<
