Tamil stars went on a remonstration rally as announced on October 7th against a Tamil daily for publishing a story that that hurt the emotions of a few actresses. The meeting was arranged by Nadigar Sangam to chalk out future plans including filing defamatory case against the daily and also filing a complaint against the daily with the Press Council of India.

Rajinikanth, Vijayakumar, Sarath Kumar, Radha Ravi Vijayakanth, Suriya, Karthi, Arun Vijay,  Sathyaraj, Poornima Bhagiyaraj, Shakila, Sripriya, Seetha, Nalini, Manjula, Radhika and many other small screen and silver screen artist were present for the event.
