The movie is based on a rural backdrop, huge sets replicating a village was erected at the AVM Studio. Bangle shops, 'kili josiyams' and country-wood trestle seats instead of the usual furniture were erected at the venue to ring in the rural ambience.

Models dressed in traditional south Indian attire welcomed the dignitaries for the muhurat. Noted Malayalam hero Dileep, Prakashraj, Vijay, director Shafi Macartin, director Dharani and actress Asin were among those who were present.
