Cheran speak on his Maya Kannadi
After a hit in Thavamai Thavamirundu, actor-director Cheran has commenced his next Maya Kannadi. The movie hit the floors on Wednesday.
Produced by Panchu Arunachalam's son Subramaniam, the film features Navya Nair opposite Cheran.
Speaking about the film, Cheran says, 'the story is about people running behind their dreams all through their life. Unlike my earlier films, the entire movie occurs in Chennai'.
Cheran is known for portraying human emotions well on screen.
'Maya Kannadi will be no different. However, I can assure that it would be different from my regular kind of films but certainly a movie sure to impress audience'.
Ilayaraja would be scoring music for the film while Dwarakanath, who cranked the camera in Autograph is donning the same role here too.
‘The script and the story have come good. People appreciated both my efforts in Autograph and Thavamai Thavamirundu. It has motivated me to try and take a different approach in Maya Kannadi'.
The movie is expected for release this July. |
