Madhavan (Maddy), Pooja and director of 'Thambi' Seeman met the press after the preview of the film 'Thambi' at Rejoyz Digital Auditorium in Malleswaram, Bangalore on Wednesday morning.
All my films have crossed 30 to 40 days run minimum and I expect the same for my first action packed film with a message 'Thambi' disclosed Madhavan addressing the media. Running first three days houseful is a must now in Tamil Nadu. That is the system today in Tamil films. However break even for the producers is my first priority.
What is uncommon is what I aim to give it on screen. When no one came forward to act in this film I said yes to this comprehensive story of director Seeman. I have made lot of preparations to work for this film. Director Seeman is an extremely difficult task master. When the wind and dust was blowing he asked me not to blink. That was the difficult part for me throughout the film informed Madhavan who has done an unconventional role in 'Thambi'.
I have learnt at least 10 new Tamil words a day in all my shooting days in this film 'Thambi' said Pooja who feels the position was inevitable for her to enter Tamil films. Now I find Tamil films homely and from my first film 'Ullam Ketkume' to ' Thambi' I have learnt lot of new things. I need to know the language of Tamil is what Madhavan insisted to give good expressions. I learnt Tamil in 30 days said Pooja. Director Seemanji please tell me how much of marks you want to give me asked Pooja - director Seeman said he wants to give 60 percent marks for coming to this stage of learning Tamil.
Pooja is a Kannada speaking heroine who has acted in seven Tamil films. |
