It was the coming together of Kollywood's who's who at the audio release of Cheran's home production Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu held in Chennai Saturday.
Sarath Kumar, Rajkiran, directors K S Ravikumar and Keyar, veteran producer and lyricist Panchu Arunachalam among others took part in the audio release.
Releasing the audio, Sarath Kumar said, 'it gives me great joy to see a director like Cheran giving opportunity for others to express their talents. It is a healthy trend in the industry'.
Ravikumar, who was Cheran's mentor in film direction, said his sishya (disciple) has made him very proud. Though we belong to different schools of film-making, his passion for good cinema is praise worthy.
Speaking his heart out, Cheran said, instead of him directing the movie, he chose Vijay Milton because he wanted to break the image that his movies are always serious.
Vijay Milton has been given ample freedom to express his ideas in this film, which is a romantic comedy thriller.
AIBI features Bharath, Arun Kumar and Mallika Kapoor in the lead roles and music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and direction by Vijay Milton.
AIBI is slated for Tamil New Year day release. |
