After a long gap it's action, start and camera for director Karu Palaniappan.

Almost three years after he came out with a successful movie in Parthiban Kanavu, he is set to be back in action. Unfortunately his Sathurangam is still to make it to the theatres and his next featuring Dhanush is not taking off.

Managing to overcome all the blues, Karu Palaniappan will commence shooting of his next venture featuring the up and coming Vishal in the lead role. The movie was initially titled Sivamayam.

But now the director has gone for a name change and the movie is now named Sivappathigaram. As the title suggests, the movie would be an action-packed entertainer. Acting opposite Vishal would be Malluwood girl Mamta Mohandas.

Vishal is currently working in Thimir directed by debutant Tharun Gopi.

Sivappathigaram would be completed in brisk pace to ensure a Deepavali release.
