Stars of Kollywood gathered under one roof for the muhurat of director Saran's home production Muni, which would be directed by choreographer-director Lawrence Raghavendra with Raj Kiran in the lead role.
Veteran director and Saran's mentor K Balachander, taking part in the function, expressed his hope that the movie would do good and bring fortunes to Saran.
Bharadwaj, Raj Kiran, Lawrence Raghavendra took part in the muhurat.
Speaking on the occasion, Saran said, 'I am confident that Lawrence has great potential in him, He would deliver his best in Muni'.
All eyes were on Raj Kiran, who after good outings in Thavamai Thavamirundhu and Sandai Kozhi plays the lead role.
He said, 'After Sandai Kozhi, I listened to over 30 scripts. But none impressed me. But when Lawrence narrated the story of Muni, I immediately decided to be part of the movie.'
On his part, Lawrence thanked Saran for giving him an opportunity to wield the megaphone in Tamil.
Recalling that it was Saran who introduced him as a choreographer with Amarkalam, he said, 'It is time for me to show gratitude to him by coming out with a quality entertainer in his banner'.
