The shooting for Arjun's production venture Thavam starring Arun Kumar in the lead role began on Friday at a grand function held in Chennai with who's who of Kollywood taking part.

Taking part in the muhurat Arjun, said, 'Arun Kumar has enough talents and I am confident that he would do justice to his role'.

Unlike my earlier directorial ventures, 'Thavam would be a romantic entertainer. We would be introducing two new heroines in the film'.

The director Sakthi Paramesh, had been working as Arjun's assistant since Sevagan.

Among those who took part in the muhurat included directors Rama Narayanan, K S Ravikumar and producer LMM Muralidharan.
