Dr G Gnanasambandan, a professor of Tamil, is also a voracious speaker and he has served as the moderator for several debates. Known for his sparkling and quick sense of humour, Dr Gnanasambandan has captivated the hearts of many Tamil enthusiasts who enjoy his speeches that contain a dash of humour and thought-provoking wise cracks.

Padmashri Kamal Hassan, Vairamuthu and writer Sujatha did the honours for this versatile personality at a function held in Chennai on 21 January. Kamal Hassan released his ‘Cinemavukku Pogalam Vanga,’ which was received by Seetha Ravi, Editor of a popular regional weekly. Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu released his second book titled Vazhviyal Nagaichuvai and this was received by ‘Kalyanamaalai’ Mohan.
