Tamil film icons Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan came together for the wedding of lyricist Vairamuthu's son Madan Karki in Chennai on Sunday.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and an impressive list of personalities from the Tamil film industry including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Sathyaraj, K. Balachandar, A. R. Rahman, Mani Ratnam, Kushboo, directors Vasanth and Bharathiraja, S. P. Balasubramaniam and many others graced the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajinikanth urged the couple to take life on simple terms and understand the sentiments of each other.

Kamal Haasan expressed his blessings to the couple. Apart from the film fraternity, members from Tamilnadu politics and a host of personalities from the literary field including lyricists Valee, Tamizhachi also attended the wedding that was held at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam.
