After playing a cosmopolitan father in 'Achchamundu Achchamuncdu', actor Prasanna will act as a Chennai slum boy in a movie to be directed by debutant Santosh for producer V Z Durai.
According to Prasanna, 'it is a movie which has a unique storyline and carries a strong message. The director hails from the slums of Chennai and knows the inhabitants' body language and lifestyle. I was impressed with the story and readily agreed to do it'.
Speaking about 'Achchamundu Achchamundu', Prasanna says, "It has come out really well. Working with director Arun Vaidyanathan was a delight. He knows the knack of film-making. The movie, shot with the state-of-the-art Red Eye Camera, will be screened in over 12 film festivals before its official release in October. It sure is a great attempt to take Tamil Cinema to global audiences. We did a lot of rehearsals before shooting for the film and that helped us a lot".
The actor, who chose to celebrate his birthday well in advance on Monday (his birthday is actually on 28 August) had acted opposite Sneha in 'Achchamundu Achchamundu'.
Speaking about Sneha, he said, "She is a great artiste. Working with her is a great joy. The movie was shot in live sound and she speaks proper Tamil. She is a great friend of mine now", he added.
He also denied reports that he is part of the remake of yesteryear comedy classic 'Kadhalikka Neramillai'. 'I am pre-occupied with my other assignments and would not be doing the film', he added. |
