A special press meet was organised to honour the recent National Award winner Prakash Raj. The actor had won the Best Actor Award for his performance in Priyadarshan’s ‘Kanchivaram’.
Tamil film directors and producers should strive to come out with films that would get us national and international recognition, National Award winning actor Prakashraj said today.
Speaking to reporters, the actor, who won the National Award for his performance in 'Kanchivaram', said, 'the whole unit of 'Kanchivaram' worked hard. All credit should go to director Priyadarshan and his team.'
'I am happy to be chosen for this honour. It was a meaty role in the film and I enjoyed doing it. There are immense talents available in the country and hopefully good quality movies would be made in the coming days', he said.
The actor was accompanied by his second daughter. Present on the occasion were Ameer, Siva, Radha Mohan, Manobala, Priya, Shammu and among others. |
