Vijay T Rajendar : No politics on screen

T.Rajendar known as TR the one man industry has added Vijay as prefix to his name on advice from a numerologist. Having come out of the DMK , TR is back to directing- producing Veerasamy . The last film he directed was Kadhal Azhivadhillai in which he introduced Charmy. Now he speaks about his new film, which has all areas, sold out. In his new film he has introduced Ajees as hero and Darshni and Meghana Naidu as heroines along with himself in a pivotal role. His discovery Mumtaz makes a comeback in this film.

Who is Veerasamy?

A man who fights injustice and seeks justice for the common man. A character very similar to the real person I am.

Any politics in it?

A 100% commercial film to justify the trust of my distributors and theatre owners

Communism and rowdyism together?

That is how my character is shaped up. Love for a warrior in the battlefield is of help to him or is it harmful to him is the story. A romantic film.

So this film has no politics in it ?

Absolutely no politics. There will be certain social issues but no politics. You can speak politics from public platforms but you will not get any money for it since the public comes to hear it free. In cinema the public comes in paying money and to them you should not speak politics.

There is an overdose of sex and violence in films..

I will not condemn it. Today nobody will come to the rescue of cinema and it�s makers. We have to find ways to save ourselves. Today�s audience is youth and we have to give what they want.

Is the Simbhu- Aishwarya (Rajni�s daughter) affair on?

Oh that is old news. Simbhu is now totally involved in films. His thoughts are all about how to bring in new elements in his film. He is above all this.
