The entire credit for the success of `Chellamay� went to Reema Sen who gave a mind blowing performance. The success of this heroine-oriented film has pushed her into the forefront. So far she acted in four films. Her first film Minnalay was a hit but after that she acted in Dhool ( cameo role), Bhagavathy and a item number in Jay Jay. She has Giri on the floor. She speaks about her success story.

How come you have not learnt to speak in Tamil ?

I am hardly in Chennai to pick up the language. I have done only four films and that is not hardly enough time to learn the language.

How come you accepted to do an item number in JJ?

The director and producer wanted to use my fame for their film. The money was good and the film had a big hero.

Chellamay�s success is more because of your sensuous image..

Nothing wrong in it. Glamour is a part of filmdom. If you are covered from head to toe nobody will look at you. You can kiss and wear skimpy dresses or reveal parts of your body but the camera angle should be decent and not crude.

In Bollywood the trend is do reveal more or even go nude . Your comment.

I think actresses should have social responsibility. The audiences are the college going crowd. Films have a big influence on them. Right from dresses to hairstyle is from films. The actresses should avoid this kind of films. At any cost I will not do it.

How come your Bollywood career has not taken off?

What to do? The best four films I did are stuck.

How come Mumbai girls are dominating filmdom in the South?

Compared to South girls the Mumbai girls are more pretty and modern. As early as 15 or 16 they venture out alone for jobs and career. This boldness is what makes them tick at the box office
