    Srikanth looks for change

For a young hero earning in lakhs of rupees, Srikanth is looking for change.

But the change he is talking about is of the literal variety and not in terms of money.

Srikanth, who is serious about his career, is all ready to experiment and take some chances. It is this
restless spirit that is behind his new role in his forthcoming film Bose.

Here the young hero speaks about the film and his role in it and his other plans.

    On his role:

"I am being branded as a romantic hero among the masses. Hence I want to take it as a challenge and prove my credentials playing action-packed roles too. The role I am doing in this film is a first step in that direction. I am playing a commando in the film".

    On the film:

"It is an action-packed movie where my stunts would be much talked about. I have myself done a couple of risky stunt sequences. But all credit should go to stunt master Peter Hayen and director Senthil Kumar for encouraging me. Playing a commando in the movie,I felt I should look the part. Hence, I took intense training in getting every detail right".

On the delay in the film’s release:

"The film has been delayed since we had to shoot a scene at Adyar over-bridge --- permission for the same was tardy in coming. It was eventually shot only last week. Since we are taking extra care in getting everything right, the film has taken time".

    On the music:

"Usually a film of this genre, music is only of secondary importance. But we have not taken this path. We have also concentrated heavily on the musical score. Interestingly, for the first time ever, the songs are by Yuvan Shankar Raja while the background score has been rendered by his brother Karthik Raja. It was magnanimous on the part of Yuvan to allow his brother score the background music. On the photography side too, two cinematographers ( Vijay Milton and Divakar) have cranked the camera."

    On his other plans:

"My next release Sathurangam is nearing completion. The shooting for the final portion of the movie begins in Vishakapattinam this week. It's a thriller movie with a romantic base. I play a scribe in it."I have agreed to do a movie for A M Ratnam's Sri Surya movies which is yet to be titled. Noted cinematographer K V Anand is wielding the megaphone for the movie that has autograph fame Gopika acting opposite me.

"H Murali, the producer of Bose, would be working again with me for his next venture, Kanakavel, in which I play a rough and tough college student.

    On his career:

"I feel I am matured enough to try my hand in action movies, but at the same time I am not keen on doing such roles only. I want to balance between both- action and romantic roles".

    On actors commanding huge salary:

"I am a flexible hero. I never demand huge sum as salary and if that were the case, I would not be getting regular offers. On the other side, the producers, who blame actor's salary for a movie's loss at the box-office, never share with actors in case of huge profits".

    On offers from other languages:

"I have a good understanding of Tamil cinema. Hence my priority would be to work in as many Tamil movies as possible. As far as Telugu offers are concerned, I will stick to one movie every year policy".
