Why this chasm between films? It may sound cliched almost spoof-like. But the truth is I was waiting for a good script and better story since Pudukottailirundhu Saravanan.. I had listened to over 60 stories, but nothing impressed me. Finally I chose about six stories to work. These movies are at stages. They would be released one after another. What are those films?I am playing the lead in a Tamil movie Anbirkinaya and Bio-Data besides Malayalam movie titled December and a Telugu movie. A couple of projects involving big directors in Tamil would be announced soon here.
Why you have chosen to play glamour roles?Heroines have become glamour dolls these days. There is no harm in acting in such characters. The medium requires that. But one has to understand that there is a limit to doing it. On the other hand, If we, actresses, begin to insist on doing only homely roles, we would be nowhere in the race. However, I would also love to do performance-oriented roles. I wish to act in challenging roles and prove my acting credentials. Who's your role model?I love all heroines of the past and present on Tamil screen. I have not modeled myself after any other person. I have my own individuality and try to get a few tips from their performances.
How was experience working in a Malayalam movie?I have completed a Malayalam movie titled December which is releasing next month in Kerala. It's a heroine-oriented subject and my performance would be much talked about. In Malayalam filmdom, more stress is given on screenplay and stories. I hope to make it big in Kerala after the release of December.
Your hobbies?I love dancing. I have learnt classical dance for the last 15 years. I learnt to play keyboard too. Reading is my passion and I love to read autobiographies and fiction stories. Listening to old songs is also my great passion.
On your future?I love to choose good roles and get a good name in the industry and from the masses. If one works hard, good result is assured. I am hoping for the best. |
