 How did you bag the role in Boys? My ambition was to be a good dancer. I was with a dancing troupe and used to take part in many shows. At one such show an associate of Shankar took a video of my dance and showed it to him. He called me for a screen test. I was okayed. His confidence in me got the role in Kadhal.
Your experience during working for Kadhal? The director told me that I was a bike mechanic staying in Madurai. The mechanic was dark skinned. I put grease on my body and stood in the sun to get the right tan. Apart from this I went to Madurai and got friendly with the mechanics and studied their body language and slang
The love scenes.. ( blushes) In fact I did what the director asked me to do. No contribution from my side. Acting as a mad man.. I took my car and went to the city. Wherever I saw a mad man on the road I stopped the vehicle and studied his behavior. This gave me an insight in doing the character. Director was all praise for me.
Your experiences with Reema, Gopika and Sandhya… Reema Sen is more than a glam doll. She is a very good actress. Her lip synch and expressions are terrific. A wonderful experience working with her. Gopika is an intense performer while Sandhya is a very talented.
Any real life love?
I am only three films old. It is now that I am getting visibility. At this stage I don't want love to come in between my passion for films. After achieving my goal I will probably have time for love. All love is only on screen and no off screen. |
