Name change, fortune change
Thursday, February 24, 2005

Life has come a full circle for Nadisha aka Anitha. A heroine who faded away after playing heroine to Vikram in Samurai has returned to act opposite Ravi Krishna in Sukkran.

She is hoping for a better fortune now and hoped her name change from Anitha to Nadisha will change her track record.

With lot of scope for glamour and histrionics, she seems to have utilized the opportunity to leave a mark for herself in Sukran.

Thanking director S A Chandrasekhar, Nadhisha says, ''though people say I have taken to boundless glamour in Sukran, I would say I had delivered what the script demanded.

A brief chat with Nadisha:

What was your experience working in Sukran?

Very nice. I have seen few films directed by Chandrasekhar. He is a highly reputed director in the industry. Had he wanted he could have cast any big heroine in the movie. However, he had great faith in my acting credentials and assigned the task. The film was a romantic entertainer with mix of action.

S A Chandrasekhar taught me how to perform for every scene. He guided me all through the movie. When I saw my own expressions on the screen, I realised his talent in extracting the best out of me. I cherish the moments working with him.

About hero Ravikrishna?

I have seen his debut film 7G rainbow Colony. I admired his spontaneous expressions before camera. A jovial character, he put in a lot a hard work in this movie. I hope he goes places from here.

On Vijay playing a guest role in the film?

I appear along with Ravi Krishna all through the movie. I have very little scenes with Vijay. Yet, I have seen many of his earlier movies and now I feel proud to have been part of a movie starring Vijay.

Is playing a glamorous role a conscious decision?

Sukran is a youthful movie and my role demanded glamour. But I have not crossed the limits. I have delivered what the script demanded from me.

On your future plans?

I am here to stay. I am confident that success will fetch me more offers. Many have appreciated my role in the movie and a couple of producers and directors have approached me with meaty offers. I have to now pick and choose.
