Comment about your experiences working in Ram? It was great experience. I really learned a lot working in the movie. I should thank Ameer for keeping faith in my abilities and giving me an opportunity to act. People have been appreciating me for my performance and all credit should go to Ameer for my work. I did what he wanted me to do on the screen. Ameer is a demanding director who expects perfection from every artiste.
Ram is an emotional movie and I felt it would provide me an opportunity to try out acting skills. Hence I accepted to do the movie. On your entry to filmdom? My brothers are settled in Muscat and I live with my parents in Mumbai. When I ventured to do modeling, I got a call to act in a Telugu movie Student No 1 opposite NTR Jr. I accepted the offer and luckily it turned out to be a successful movie and I became a prominent actress there. So far I have acted in 12 Telugu movies and three Tamil movies. Your views on glamour... Glamour is different from vulgarity. Ram has brought a refreshing change in my career. I want to do meaningful roles rather than appearing in skimpy costumes and run around trees romancing. I don't mind waiting for such offers. Are you planning to balance between both Tamil and Telugu filmdoms? Of course. I have established a name for myself over there. Here Ram has done the trick. I have planned to balance my career in both languages. A couple of movies every year in each language will help my career. |
